Representative William Straus (D-Mattapoisett) applauded the Massachusetts Department of
Transportation for its action on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, to approve and award a $210 million
contract for the South Coast Rail Project, officially moving the much-anticipated project from a
planning phase into a construction phase.
